On September 12th, 2012 the Comfort Floodplain Coalition was pleased to host an informational panel to discuss the recent agreement signed by Kendall County, Kerr County, the Comfort Water District and several other governmental and regulatory entities. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is the first step toward a collaborative, regional effort to head off worsening water shortages.  The group is currently seeking funding to perform a dam feasibility study on the Cypress Creek watershed.  Comfort will benefit two fold by their success.  Dams provide both flood protection and water enhancement, especially when that dual purpose is by design. Join us in applauding this collaborative effort by those planning and working for a better future in Comfort.

The CFC thanks Keith Marquart, Anthony Bohnert, Jonathan Letz and Danny Morales not only for taking the time to share their knowledge and answer our questions, but for their years of public service and strong sense of community.
